Geography and climate

Cameroon spans a wide variety of landscapes, from dense equatorial forests in the northwest to the savannahs of the Sahel in the north. The country is bordered by the Gulf of Guinea and has many rivers, including the Sanaga River. The climate is tropical, with a heavy rainy season and a dry season.

Culture and population

Cameroon is a multicultural country, with more than 250 ethnic groups and a wide variety of languages. The main official languages are French and English, a legacy of colonization.
