An architectural and heritage jewel of the eponymous city in Cameroon, is the very first holiday village in Central Africa. Located at an altitude of 1,500 meters, this center offers a calm and soothing environment, nestled on the green slopes of a hill near the city. Created in 1942, it originally served as a place of rest and acclimatization for French settlers and soldiers stationed in Central Africa.
The center is distinguished by its individual pavilions, which range from one to three rooms, and by its equestrian center. It also welcomes visitors in an enchanting setting, within a park dotted with century-old pines and small houses called boukarous. The place is ideal for recharging your batteries, with its 51 rooms, its swimming pool equipped with diving boards and a tennis court for sports enthusiasts.
In addition to being a place of relaxation, the Dschang Climate Center also played a cultural role. In 1998, it hosted the famous street theater company Royal de Luxe, which developed its show “Petits Contes Nègres” there and created “L’enfant noir”, a gigantic six-meter-high puppet.
This holiday village is a true haven of peace, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and hills, making Dschang a popular destination for lovers of calm, nature and unique architectural discoveries.
