Ebodje Ecotourism Site

Ebodje, a picturesque coastal village in southern Cameroon, is a unique destination for ecotourism enthusiasts. Just 55 km from Kribi, these little-known beaches offer an immersion in nature. From November to January, sea turtles come to lay their eggs on its beaches, making Ebodje a crucial site for their protection as part of the regional “Protomac” project. This fishing village, committed to turtle conservation, offers hikes along the beaches and pirogue excursions to explore the mangroves and the mouth of the Likodo River.

The village is also the ideal starting point to discover the Manyange na Elombo Campo Marine National Park, rich in marine biodiversity. Visitors can observe whales, turtles and seabirds while enjoying the breathtaking landscapes. The famous “Turtle Rock”, a rock formation reminiscent of a giant turtle, attracts photography and nature lovers.

Ebodje, in harmony with its environment, mixes local culture and conservation, offering a warm welcome and awareness of biodiversity. This village, where nature and tradition coexist, is a real invitation to discovery and relaxation in the heart of a preserved ecosystem.
